Hand Embroidery Workshop
I’ve just completed this hand embroidered photograph album in preparation for the hand embroidery workshop that I am running in conjunction with Manor Farm Tea Shoppe, Bleasby Nottingham on 20th April http://www.manorfarmteashoppe.co.uk/special-events Although we will not have time to produce such a detailed project I like to show course participants how they can use the embroidery that they learn to produce other items that can become family heirlooms! I have two family weddings this year so thought it might be nice to experiment!
The course is designed for beginners or those with a little experience and by the end I like participants to have a beautiful item to take home with them.
We will be working on creating a hand embroidered needles and pins case and pin cushion or a lavender heart or hanging decoration, the choice is yours! There are a few spaces left so if you would like to join us please see my events page for further details https://janelightfoot.com/events-and-workshops/.I hope to see you there, it is a great way to spend the day!
These are just exquisite! I can only aspire to embroider at this stage in my crafting life. I should imagine they take hours of work and concentration, what a fabulous way to spend a day 🙂
It takes a little time, but it is easier thank you think. I like things that are simple, and silk ribbon embroidery ‘grows’ quickly. A few simple stitches can create lots of pretty things, I hope you have a go and if I can do it, then anybody can!
Do you have patterns for sale – can’t join your class as I live “down under”!!
Hello Margaret, thank-you for your interest in my work. No patterns currently but it is something I am hoping to get round to this year!
I live in Canada, therefore cannot join your classes. I would like to buy your patterns though.
Let me know when you get around to selling them
